Several things to consider when comparing price. I bought a JD413 rotary cutter in May for $830. This rotary cutter included a clutch instead of shear pins and had safety chains in the front, each (the clutch and the safety chains) costing extra. To have the chains added was $80.00 alone. Just some things to consider when shopping. ....

you are correct! I paid 750 which included safety chains but no clutch. I should have bought one with a clutch since the pins seem to break often although its may be to early to tell!! $3.50 each time. ....

Buy cheap grade 5 bolts, nuts and lock washers in quantity from the farm store or industrial supply house, and, start the blades real slow. Have a Jd 513 and just finished bush hogging 5 acres and broke one bolt. ....
